Why Red Light Therapy?

Red light therapy, also called photobiomodulation, is light therapy that uses LED lights to increase energy for our cells, decrease inflammation and pain, promote tissue repair, and enhance overall cellular health. Red light at specific wavelengths is readily absorbed by the body’s cells, which activates metabolic energy processes. Red and near-infrared wavelengths of light promote ATP production, which boosts energy transport within cells, leading to increased cell proliferation.   • No. Ultraviolet (UV) light has been shown to be damaging to the eyes and skin. Red light is deeply healing to your body’s cells.

  • Treatments are 20 minutes long.

  • The more regularly you use red light therapy, the better the results will be. For acute injuries and general wellness: 2 to 3 times a week, for chronic conditions 3-4 times a week. As always, consistency is key.

  • You may disrobe to you comfort level, being mindful that the light cannot penetrate clothing. Eye protection is provided must be worn during the session.

  • It is no recommended if pregnant or trying to get pregnant.
